To help people connect with others and manage/maintain their mental health and wellbeing positively, we offer an exciting and varied timetable of FREE activities in our relaxed and welcoming Wellbeing Hub.

Our Wellbeing Sessions operate on a monthly timetable. Some sessions are offered fortnightly and some run every week.

Our Yoga sessions are a weekly activity covering a variety of themes, including Yoga basics, breathing techniques, an insight into linking mind and body, and much more.

Next Steps - Over 50's Peer Group


On a Tuesday, Weekly, 10am – 12pm

This group is for over 50’s who would like to socialise with peers whilst engaging in activities to get involved with such as arts and crafts, quizzes, mindfulness, gentle armchair yoga, or just having a brew and a chat. We are now offering FREE toast to all attendees as well as a range of hot drinks and biscuits.

Board Games and Brews


On a Tuesday, Fortnightly, 2pm – 4pm

Offering attendees the chance to have some social time with others whilst enjoying a hot drink and engaging conversation. This session is all about providing a warm safe social space, helping people feel less isolated and more connected with others in their community.

Previously known as "Bob in for a Brew", our session has expanded it's offering to include a range of different types of games to play with other attendees to get involved with. Either by yourself, as a pair, or as a group.

Games such as Scrabble, Solitaire, Mahjong, Chess are available. Plus, feel free to bring along any games you may be interested in playing as a group. (please keep in mind the games must be suitable for the setting)

Tameside Autism in Mind (T.A.I.M) - Peer Group


On a Tuesday, Fortnightly, 4pm – 6pm

A peer lead group for neurodivergent adults (18+) living in the Tameside and Glossop area. A place to come and meet others with quiet spaces to just talk or activities to take part in. Free hot drinks available too. There is no need to book, & you can attend at any point during the 2 hours. We offer:

  • A social room for activities to get involved with

  • A separate quieter room to have a chat

  • A one to one room if privacy or breathing space is needed

  • Free tea, coffee and cold drinks throughout

  • Sensory packs available to use during your time at the group

Community Connections


On a Wednesday, Weekly, 10am - 12pm

A weekly drop-in space to help Adults (18+) living in the Tameside Area, who may need additional support. Our aim is to connect people with local practical, financial & social support when it is needed.

Find out about support on offer from TOG Mind & the Wellbeing Hub, local services to access, get information on organisations in the Tameside area, find out more about what they do & how they can help, as well as signposting to appropriate local services.


We can assist with access to the internet by providing one to one support on devices to use for tasks such as CV writing, job applications, or registering for a service (this could be time limited depending on staff availability). If you'd like to make use of this aspect of the service, you can call up in advance and one of the team can arrange for a slot to be booked during this session.


If you are currently affected by the cost of living crisis; via this group you can now access additional support in the form of a food pantry*, hygiene items* and food bank voucher referrals*. Just call in at any point during this session and one of our Community Development team will be happy to help. (*The following offers are subject to restrictions, if you would like to see if this is something you could qualify for, please contact us in advance of attending).

Walk & Talk


On a Wednesday, Fortnightly, 11am – 1pm

Held in the beautiful Stamford Park - Ashton (SK15 1QZ) ran by our team of volunteers; our fortnightly walks are suitable for all levels of availability, with planned routes to take into consideration the seasons and the weather. This activity will provide a chance for participants to chat, socialise and connect with others whilst enjoying some gentle exercise in a safe outdoor setting. Walks are planned to be approx. 60 - 90 minutes.

You will need to book your place in advance if you wish to attend.


Community Garden


On a Wednesday, Weekly, 2pm – 4pm

We have been fortunate to acquire an allotment plot! This will be open to all departments within Mind Tameside services, and the Wellbeing Hub will be offering Wednesday afternoon weekly sessions.

The plot will need a lot of clearing and maintenance getting it ready for the growing season next year, so we're looking for anyone who may be interested in joining the team that wants to be a part of this exciting project.

Get to know your GadgetGet to Know your Gadget


On a Thursday, Weekly, 10am - 12pm

Do you own a mobile phone, laptop, or tablet but aren’t sure exactly what you can do with it? Have you ever wanted to access YouTube or make a WhatsApp group but wouldn’t know where to start? Would you like to learn how to get the most out of your devices and the internet?
Our group for Tameside Residents offers 1-1 support* from our staff and volunteers in an open group setting with you and other attendees. Get to know your Gadget is all about helping individuals to learn about and make the most of their tech devices. We can support you to navigate a new device, help with installing and using apps, support you to find new means to connect to others, or help you to learn new ways to acquire or develop hobbies.
As with all our Wellbeing Hub sessions, free tea and coffee is available throughout, there isn’t a limit to the number of sessions you attend, and there is no pressure to join for the full 2 hours or turn up at 10am. This is a drop-in service, and you are welcome to call in at any time between 10am and 12pm.


There is no need to book a place, you can just turn up, however, we cannot provide devices to practice on, you will be expected to bring your own device for support.

*Subject to staff and volunteer attendance. In the event of low staff, the session will be ran with a group task/focus and time limited 1-1 support.

Arts & Crafts


On a Thursday, Weekly, 2pm – 4pm

Our volunteer ran Arts & Crafts session offers a variety of creative activities such as paper crafts, beading, knitting / crochet, hama beads, painting, pastels, origami, and an array of mindful colouring books, or bring your own crafty project and enjoy spending time with like-minded people.

All materials provided, and our volunteers are on hand to offer guidance if needed. As with all our Wellbeing Hub sessions, free tea and coffee is available throughout, there isn’t a limit to the number of sessions you attend, and there is no pressure to join for the full 2 hours or turn up at 2pm. This is a drop-in service, and you are welcome to call in at any time between 2pm and 4pm.


Creative Writing


Fridays, Weekly, 10am – 12pm

A regular discussion group based around all things writing. There will be writing tasks and tips each week, with the idea that we will then meet the following week and speak about what we have done, share our ideas and share writing tips with each other. You can expect discussion around journaling, creative writing, poetry and much more. A friendly, safe space to have a cuppa and a chat with like-minded people. Notepads and pens are provided, or bring your own.

P.E.E.R.S. (People Ensuring Everyone Receives Support)


Fridays, Weekly, 1pm – 2:30pm*

Our P.E.E.R.S. Group: (People Ensuring Everyone Receives Support) is a peer-led group for Tameside adults.


It’s a place to attend to sit and talk openly with others who understand and have been there. With lived experience facilitators we offer a chance to check-in, bring to the group what you’d like to discuss, with an option to leave topics in the suggestion box for the group to cover at the next meeting.


Please ensure you attend this group on time, as arriving late can mean missing the check-in and topics covered.

*(However, If there are less than 4 attendees the session will run for 1hr)
