Collecting at funerals

Simply collecting donations instead of flowers at a funeral can help us to continue to provide vital support for everyone affected by mental health problems.

Most funeral directors are willing to collect donations in lieu of flowers, handling the administration of these gifts for you and making sure they are passed to us.

Holding an event in memory of a loved one

Many of our supporters choose to celebrate a loved one’s life by holding an event or taking part in a challenge to honour their memory.

  • Having a pub quiz

  • Holding a cake sale

  • Cycling, running or swimming

These are just some examples of events in aid of our charity that people have chosen to remember someone special, while raising vital funds for Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind.

Please visit our JustGiving page for details on how to set this up.

Give a gift in your willGive a gift in your will

A gift in your will can help support everyone with mental health problems. By leaving a gift in your Will, or legacy, to Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind you could help us continue to provide vital support and services for everyone with mental health problems.

We have had money left in legacy to us in the past, and we would like to promote more of this kind of support – it makes all the difference to be able to plan our future delivery of services for those who need it most.

Leaving a legacy is often a much simpler process than you might think.

To help guide you through the process and help answer any questions you may have, you may wish to speak to a specialist solicitor you can contact us on 0161 330 9223.
