The Funder 500 Programme

The Funder 500 is a fundraising partnership to support your local mental health services and improve you and your colleagues' wellbeing.

What is the Funder 500?

The Funder 500 is an opportunity for businesses or community groups to take on a fundraising challenge and work with colleagues and friends to raise £500 for charity over 1 year.

There will be awards for Bronze, Silver, and Gold fundraisers and ongoing support from us throughout. Please consider helping us to help others. #Funder500

Why take part?

Here at Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind we have been providing expert advice and support to our local community for 40 years.

At a time when mental health funding is being cut and suicide rates are at their highest, we can help you whilst ensuring funds raised are spent locally.

CSR / Payroll Giving

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is important in a number of ways but essentially it can benefit wider social and environmental issues by spreading awareness and raising donations for local causes.

Your business can support charities and the greater good whilst giving reputation a boost.

What's in it for us?

As a charity, we rely on support from individuals, community groups, and local businesses to ensure we are able to keep providing the high standards of services for which we are known. By taking part in the Funder 500, your support will enable us to develop new programmes and to support existing needs right here in your local community.

By taking part, not only do we gain unrestricted funds to support our services, but we build up a network of individuals across our communities that can be ambassadors for our services who can challenge the negative stigma around mental health and promote looking after your own mental health and wellbeing.

What's stopping you?

Maybe you think you don’t have time or you’re going to struggle reaching your £500 target. Well, don’t worry! We are there to support you every step of the way.

We can help to motivate your colleagues, bring in materials for you to use and share ideas for your fundraising!

Mental health is everyone’s business and will affect 1 in 4 people, every single year.

Our previous Charity Partners, First Choice Homes Oldham, gained 55th place in the Top 100 Sunday Times Best Not For Profit Company to Work For in the UK.

Nearly all staff (93%) agreed they were encouraged to give something back to the community through charitable work and this contributed to their incredible place on the list!

Who are you helping?
The range of support we provide for young people and adults reaches across Tameside, Oldham and Glossop, providing some of the fastest access to wellbeing services in the North West.
