Youth in Mind offer a variety of different wellbeing sessions for children and young people. The sessions we offer can vary depending on where you access.
Arts for Wellbeing
Our Arts for Wellbeing groups are for all children and young people aged 8 - 18, who may or may not also be accessing other Youth in Mind services. To access these groups, you do not need to attend a drop in, you can just show up and get creative!
Each week, we will look at how we can use art to help us maintain good mental health or just to help us express ourselves, get lost in creativity and let off steam. The group is perfect for young people who love getting arty and want the chance to meet other young people who might be going through similar things to you. Our groups have made wonderful things like big collages, wall murals, decoupaged pencil holders, hand-made books and loads more!
The art groups have different names and run on different nights depending where you are:
Take 5 and Create
Take 5 and Create is our weekly art workshop run by one of our practitioners at Take 5. Young people do not need to book an appointment to attend this, just show up and get creative!
Each week, we will look at how we can use art to help us maintain good mental health. We will make and create things that we can use in everyday life to help us remain calm, help us think positively and help us let other people know when we’re not okay. Young people can come to Take 5 and Create as well as accessing another service such as counselling or Early Intervention.
To access Take 5 and Create, come along to one of our Drop-ins and chat with a practitioner about it. Young people can drop in without an appointment, or they can reserve a time slot by calling 0161 330 9223.
