Fundraising Collage

Participating in sponsored activities are perhaps one of the most impressive ways to raise funds for Tameside Oldham and Glossop Mind.

Our team are always inspired to meet new people from our community dedicated to fundraising for Mental Health. Each target we hear about blows us away both with creativity and devotion to every challenge. In the past 18 months alone we have had people, skydive, run the london marathon, walk 10,000 steps every day for a month, run 65 miles along Hadrian’s Wall and walk across fire.

If you are passionate about raising money for mental health in your community and want to push your limits in the process, why not sign up for one of the many sponsored activities today? We can support you through this challenge to make this experience one of the best things you will ever do!

Meet Katie

Katie was one of our amazing fundraisers who ran the London Marathon in March. She had only been running for 18 months when she crossed the finish line raising the charity a staggering £2700. Katie encourages anyone to get involved in sponsored activities and said this before her training was complete;Katie

“Mental health is something that I am extremely passionate about and I have really enjoyed fundraising for such an important charity. I have been overwhelmed by people's generosity and I have really enjoyed the challenge of thinking of creative ways to fundraise -

I have had so much fun and met some great people along the way. I'm truly humbled! The hard bit of learning to actually run a marathon is my next big challenge ... but again I'm looking forward to getting in stuck in to the training plan.

I have found that running is a great outlet after a stressful day at work and helps me to relax and 'let off steam!'. I have also met some wonderful friends at my local running club and enjoy the social connections that running brings.”
