Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) teaches people to spot the signs of mental health issues and how to guide a person towards support. The course won’t teach you how to be a therapist, but it will teach you how to respond in a crisis and how to reach out before a crisis happens. To find out more about the benefits of MHFA please visit Youth · MHFA England.

Our Youth MHFA (YMHFA) course can be delivered either online or face to face across either 2 or 4 days. The training course is designed to be delivered to between 8 and 16 people. MHFA is split into 4 sessions which takes place over either two full days or four half days. In order to receive your certification in MHFA you must attend all sessions. Certificates are issues directly from MHFA England upon completion of the course.

For face to face training we can deliver this course on site at your organisations venue or at our wellbeing centre in Ashton-under-Lyne, (216-218 Katherine Street, OL6 7AS). Please note that due to covid guidelines we can at present only accommodate up to 8 people at our venue.

If your organisation would like to book a MHFA course for your staff, please email trainingacademy [at] togmind.org. This training can be delivered between 8-16 persons either at your own venue (if COVID compliant) or online via zoom.
