Making Every Contact Count
Many long-terms diseases in our population are closely linked to known behavioural risk factors. Around 40% of the UK’s disability adjusted life years lost are attributable to tobacco, hypertension, alcohol, being overweight or being physically inactive.



At Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind we offer counselling to all residents of Tameside and Glossop aged 16 or over.

 Youth in Mind

Just as our bodies can become poorly, people’s minds can become emotionally unwell. People of all ages can become emotionally unwell, that is why we're here to help with Youth in Mind.


 Active Monitoring

Active Monitoring is an early intervention, guided self-help service that runs from a number of GP practices in Oldham.



We are currently offering a huge range of both fully accredited courses and awareness sessions. Our courses aim to educate our community in a variety of areas surrounding Mental Health.

The Topaz Café is a not-for-profit hub that creates a huge selection of freshly made vegetarian meals at a reasonable price. Let Topaz take care of your lunch while you take care of yourself!



Fundraising greatly helps us gain much needed funds so we can continue to improve and expand the services we offer throughout the community. It's also a great way to get active and meet new people!

Coming up this May is Mental Health Awareness Week. This year’s theme is Stress and we at Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind have a number of activities and opportunities for yourselves, your staff, and your volunteers to get involved with.

We had some great attendance and some really good discussion going on during the event!

The Blazing Saddles are a group of Firefighters and friends who each year take on a mammoth cycling challenge to raise money for charity! This year is a very special, the 100 Year Ride! Celebrating the centenary of the end of WW1 and 100 years of the Fire Brigades Union.

Dedicated staff members Kelly Smith; Early Intervention Community Wellbeing Coordinator, and Nicola Harrison; Director of Children, Young People and Families Services set themselves the massive target of completing 200 miles between them and raising £200 for Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind as part of The Big 40km campaign!

Sisters Leah, Charlotte and Lydia took on some incredible fundraising yet again! The girls attended the Spring Fair at Mossley Town Team last weekend (24th March) and held a special spring tombola!


We are pleased to announce that this year we are the charity partner for the Slimming World team based in Tameside! The group choose a charity to support each year and raised a significant amount of money last year for the Reminiscence Pod at Tameside Hospital.
