In 2019 we were amazingly successful with an application for a grant from the Department of Health and Social Care.
We are now in year 3 of this grant that has funded us to develop what is now our Take 5 Children, Young People and Families Hub in the centre of Oldham. As part of developing this brand new innovative hub, we committed to having the concept and delivery independently evaluated. If you'd like to know more about Take 5 we'd recommend you check it out!
Just as our bodies can become unwell, people’s minds can become emotionally unwell too and this may be more common than you think, with 3 children in every classroom experiencing a mental health problem at any given time.
In recognising the significance of early intervention and prevention in mental health, our Youth in Mind initiative is specifically targeted to respond to the needs of children and young people.
Youth in Mind prioritise two main areas. Firstly, we work closely with schools to raise awareness of mental health issues and provide education and support to students, parents, teachers and governors. Secondly, we offer an innovative range of therapeutic services that can be tailored to meet both school, community and individual needs.
If you would like further information on any of our services please see the links on the right or contact us on 0161 330 9223 - we will be happy to answer any queries.
