What will happen?

At a Drop-in or Sort-it session you will have a one-to-one appointment with a worker, either on your own or with you parent or carer. The worker will ask you some information about yourself such as your name, age, where you live, and what school you go to.

They will ask you about what has been going on in your life and what support, if any, you would like from our services. They can provide you with useful websites and information on Apps.

Who should I bring with me?

Any young person under 13 years old will need permission from their parent or carer to attend a Drop-in or Sort-it session.

Your parent or carer will need to bring you to your session to confirm they give permission and so they can provide us with any additional information we need. The reason we ask this is to make sure someone is aware you are accessing support with us, and so we can work together to keep you safe whilst you are here and when you leave.

For anyone 13 years old or above you are able to access a Drop-in or Sort-it session without parent or carer permission, however please be aware should we feel that you or another person may be in danger we would need to discuss this with either your parent or carer, or another agency.

We may also ask you to complete a ‘Getting Home Safe’ form so we know you are safe when you leave us.

Who do I contact?

Young people are able to drop-in during opening times, with their parent or carer, to ask about what support is available.

They can also ask their parent or carer to call us on 0161 330 9223 to find out more information.
