You can come to The Hive every week to play. We have drawing, painting, colouring and sticking and lots of other fun things. You can say hello to other children and we have tasty food you can eat in our cafe.
The Hive is a safe space for children and young people to come and get involved in activities or access help for issues or problems in their lives. Young people can also access The Hive if they want to meet other young people from their local community.
We also offer a good mood food café, different activities such as arts group, and you are able to drop-in to speak to someone if you are struggling with something in your life.
All of the activities are supervised by an adult to make sure they stay safe and are fun places for children & young people to go to.
Please be aware if you are under 13 years old you will need parent or carers permission to come to The Hive.
The Hive is open every Wednesday evening 4pm-8pm.
You can find us at:
Tameside Oldham and Glossop Mind
216-218 Katherine Street
When you come to The Hive you will need to speak to someone on the reception desk.
They will ask you for some information about yourself, including your name, age, what you would like to do at The Hive and information about your parent or carer. You may be given an appointment to speak to someone or you may be able to go straight into one of the activities taking place.
Staff & Volunteers at The Hive are here to help so if you are unsure about anything please just ask!
For young people to take part in any activities at The Hive we ask that anyone under 13 years old has permission from their parent or carer.
To make sure you are able to come to The Hive you would need to make sure your parent or carer is able to bring you. The reason we ask this is to make sure someone is aware you are coming to The Hive and so we can work together to keep you safe whilst you are here and when you leave.
Young people can drop in at The Hive during opening times, with their parent or carer, to ask about what support is available.
