Drop-in & Sort-itOur Drop-in & Sort-it service is for young people who would like to have a safe space to speak to someone and get some help or support. These are one-off 20 minute sessions where you would be with a worker, either on your own, or with your parent or carer.

You will be listened to and the worker will try to find the best way to help you either with our services or by helping you to access other services.

  • For a Drop-In session you can come to one of our centres during drop-in times and ask to speak to someone.

  • For a Sort-it session your parent or carer can contact us to book you an appointment to speak to someone.

What will happen?

At a Drop-in or Sort-it appointment you will go into a safe space with a worker either on your own or with your parent or carer.

The worker will ask you some information about yourself such as your name, age, where you live, and what school you go to. They will also ask you questions about how you are feeling and what is happening in your life to be able to give you the help that you want.

The worker will check that you understand everything you talk about and will also talk to your parent or carer about what you have discussed, if you want them to.

Who should I bring with me?

Any young person under 13 years old will need permission from their parent or carer to attend a Drop-in or Sort-it session.

  • Your parent or carer will need to bring you to your session to make sure we have their permission, and so they can provide us with information which you might not know.

The reason we ask this is to make sure someone is aware you are coming to get help from us, and so we can work together to keep you safe while you are here and when you leave.

Who do I contact?

Young people are able to drop-in during opening times, with their parent or carer, to ask about what support is available.

They can also ask their parent or carer to call us on 0161 330 9223 to find out more information.

You can find us at:

216-218 Katherine Street
