The Hive is a designated young peoples service which offers a range of activities to support young people who may be struggling with different issues or for those who want to get involved in groups as part of their local community.
We offer a good mood food café, a calendar of different events, and access to therapeutic interventions, all you need to do is call in on The Hive evening and speak to someone.
To access our therapeutic interventions you will be asked to attend a Drop-in or Sort-it session first to find out what is going on for you and what support may be available.
The Hive is open every Wednesday evening from 4pm - 8pm.
You can find us at:
Tameside Oldham and Glossop Mind
216-218 Katherine Street
When you come to The Hive you will need to speak to someone on the reception desk.
They will ask you for some of your personal details including your name, age, address, what school or college you attend and details of your parent or carer.
The Hive offers both booked and Drop-in services so depending on what you want to access, you may be able to attend a session the same night or the following week.
Staff & Volunteers at The Hive are here to help so if you are unsure about anything please just ask!
For anyone 13 years old or above you are able to access support at The Hive without parent or carer permission, however please be aware should we feel that you or another person may be in danger we would need to discuss this with either your parent or carer, or another agency.
We may also ask you to complete a ‘Getting Home Safe’ form so we know you are safe when you leave us.
Young people are able to drop-in to The Hive during opening times if older than 13 years old, to ask about what support is available.
You can also give us a call on 0161 330 9223, or drop by our Ashton Wellbeing Centre and have a chat.
