Sometimes it is good to know that you are not alone in what you are going through; our young people's courses help young people to learn ways to cope with different issues with other young people.
Young People's Courses can help you learn more about something you are struggling with and learn ways to cope better, whilst being able to talk to other young people your age who might be struggling too.
We have courses to help with things such as:
Dealing with Anxiety and Worries
Help with friendships
All courses are delivered with young people of similar ages to help everyone feel comfortable and safe.
To find out what young people's courses are on offer please see below.
Once you have decided you would like to attend a course, you will be sent all the information you need; such as:
How long sessions will be
Most of our courses are delivered for 1 hour per week for 4 - 6 weeks.
Any young person under 13 years old will need permission from their parent or carer to attend a course.
Your parent or carer will need to bring you to your sessions to make sure you have permission to attend but they do not need to stay in the sessions with you.
The reason we ask this is to make sure someone is aware you are coming to get help from us and so we can work together to keep you safe whilst you are here and when you leave.
For anyone 13 years old or above you are able to access sessions without parent or carer permission, however please be aware should we feel that you or another person may be in danger we would need to discuss this with either your parent or carer, or another agency.
We may also ask you to complete a ‘Getting Home Safe’ form at your first sessions so we know you are safe when you leave us.
If you would like some more information on courses we offer and how to sign up; please don’t hesitate to call us 0161 330 9223. You could also come down to to our office and inquire in person.
