We can provide the following half-day workshops on-site at a company’s premises. Subject to interest we can also host workshops at our Wellbeing Centre in Ashton-under-Lyne (OL6 7AS) or at our premises in Oldham (OL1 1DJ).
Our workshops are suitable for employees looking to improve their own workplace wellbeing and also provide a good starting point for managers and Human Resources personnel who wish to gain a helpful insight into mental health at work in order to form their company’s own policies in this area.
The workshops are suitable for all organisations, such as supermarkets, building contractors, etc, as well as those working in health and social care.
The workshops can be made bespoke to your organisation if you let us know in advance if there is anything in particular you want us to cover. For example, if you work within the media we can tailor the Mental Health workshop to raise your understanding of mental health to help when you are reporting on mental health issues.
The same applies to help raise awareness of mental health if you work in the penal system.
Each workshop works as a standalone session or as part of the series and does not assume any prior knowledge of mental health.
An Introduction to Mental Health at Work provides an overview of mental health issues, including: recognising symptoms, types of issues, assessing workplace factors and practical steps to improve workplace wellbeing.
Building Workplace Resilience explores the idea of resilience as a tool to improve emotional wellbeing and considers how different perspectives – such as mindfulness, positive psychology and individual relationships – can be applied in the workplace.
An Introduction to Mindfulness in the Workplace explains the practice of mindfulness and its many benefits in the workplace. For example, it can help employees to think more clearly, feel less stressed, cope with difficulties better and more.
We also have available a three day Connect 5 workshop program. The Connect 5 workshops can help when holding conversations with people with mental health distress and covers various interventions, it provides:
Brief advice on how to better understand mental health & wellbeing;
Information about local services and resources;
How to help people take first steps to make themselves feel better;
Different ways to motivate and support people to make changes that last.
Connect 5 can be provided at a company’s premises. Subject to interest we can also host workshops at our Wellbeing Centre in Ashton-under-Lyne (OL6 7AS) or at our premises in Oldham (OL1 1DJ). Participants would need to attend all three Connect 5 workshops.
