School Emotional Wellbeing Consultancy

Course Description

Generating a whole school approach is about building a culture of emotional health and wellbeing through all areas of the school community.


This course covers Staff Development, Health and Wellbeing, Pupil Voice, Engagement with Parents and Carers, and School Ethos and Environment.


It is built around an asset-based assessment of your existing practise in reference to each of the 8 principles of whole school mental health, outlined in Public Health England's Promoting children and young people's emotional health and wellbeing: A whole school and college approach (2015).


Is this suitable for me?

This is aimed at anyone supporting children and young people in educational settings.


Should you wish to apply for the AcSEED Award as part of the project we can support your application and ensure that all criteria are achieveable.

Senior Leader and Manager training for educational settings

Course Description

This training is all about preparing leaders to address conversations with all members of the school community about mental health within their setting.

Drawing on Ofsted recommendations and guidance, this course covers key legislation and the importance of building a culture of wellbeing and openness, where positive interactions are promoted. 

The course will enable you to consider the impact of stress on staff, students, parents and carers, providing advice on how to build resilience and empathy by breaking down stigma and discrimination. 


Is this suitable for me?

This course is targeted specifically at curriculum managers and senior leadership staff to protect and promote the wellbeing of the staff and learners at their schools and colleges through a whole-school approach to wellbeing.

This is a full day course, usually running from 9am until 5pm

The course has space for between 8—14 people, and will cost: £1595 + VAT & expense.

Youth Mental Health First Aid

Course Description

As a Youth Mental Health First Aider, you will develop the skills to engage with young people in a non-judgmental way, looking at issues impacting young people such as bullying and substance misuse.

There are four parts to this course - what is mental health; depression and anxiety; suicide and psychosis; self-harm and eating disorders. 

This is an internationally recognised course. All the content and are developed by MHFA England and follow robust quality assurance and evaluation processes.


Is this suitable for me?

Aimed at anyone supporting children and young people, particularly youth workers, social workers, care givers and educators


What do I get out of it?

  • Recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues.
  • Understand how to support a young person experiencing distress.
  • Develop techniques to promote a young person’s mental / emotional wellbeing. 



There is no formal assessment; you will receive a copy of the excellent Mental Health First Aid manual and workbook, a certificate and the title “Youth Mental Health First Aider” on completion.


Duration & Cost

Two full days practical and interactive training. This is usually run from 9am to 5pm

This course is for between 8—16 people, and will cost: £2600 + VAT & expense.
