Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind have a long history of delivering a variety of training, workshops, and accredited courses such as Mental Health First Aid.
However we are also aware that each organisation has varying needs and sometimes require more bespoke training.
With Community Services you can access a range of opportunities across Oldham to support long term health and wellbeing.
Following completion of our active monitoring programme, talking therapies or following a drop in appointment, people can see what’s available locally to them across Oldham and be signposted into clubs and groups providing training and personal development workshops and sessions.
Our guided one to one self-help or also known as 'Active Monitoring', is with a trained practitioner helping you with coping methods for common issues; e.g. depression, stress, anxiety, confidence, anger, and social isolation.
As part of our guided wellbeing services, we have 20 minute one to one sessions available for you to discuss any issues you might be dealing with, assess levels of support required, and find out about options for accessing a range of local community and NHS services.
Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the mental health equivalent of physical First Aid.
Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind now run free, 1 hour interactive workshops at a variety of local community venues in Oldham to raise awareness of perinatal mental health.
