MHFA England has approved Tameside, Oldham and Glossop Mind to deliver the Mental Health First Aid Standard course.

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is the mental health equivalent of physical First Aid. All the content and resources used on this course are developed by MHFA England and have followed robust quality assurance and evaluation processes. So much so, that MHFA is currently being delivered in over 23 different countries and this number is rising.

As an approved provider of MFHA, we can deliver this course on-site at your organisation’s premises or at our Wellbeing Centre in Ashton-under-Lyne. The course lasts two days and, in most cases, these are delivered consecutively. We can accommodate a maximum of 16 people on a course and the minimum number is 8.

So why attend MHFA training?

Here are a few more reasons why the MHFA training is worth it if you still need convincing:

  • Provides participants with the skills and confidence to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues.

  • Equips people with the skills to guide a person effectively towards the right support services when they are in need.

  • Challenges stigma and discrimination against those suffering mental health issues.

  • Enables people to engage better with individuals with mental health issues within their local community.
