Some people may keep their problems to themselves rather than talking to others about them, which can sometimes make the problems seem much worse than they actually are. Talking to your family, friends, teachers, or even your pets can help you to understand your problem better. It can be hard to put into words how you are feeling, you can maybe try drawing your feelings to express them in a different way. Some people prefer to write down their feelings in a journal and find this easier than talking about them. Everyone copes with their problems in a different way. Try different ways of opening up and see what works best for you. You may prefer to speak to someone you don’t know. Take a look at the different drop-ins we offer in our different areas if you would like to come along to speak to one of our workers!
