A new partnership between ourselves, Oldham Boxing and Personal Development Centre, and Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust to carry out an exciting new project – Mind Fit.

Individuals experiencing mental health problems will take part in a twelve-week pilot project focusing on fitness, personal development and employment skills.

Each Wednesday afternoon, participants will engage in an hour of physical fitness based around boxing training and techniques, and an hour of learning about areas such as Mindfulness, Resilience, Nutrition, 5 Ways to Wellbeing, Interview Skills, and general self-care.

We will be working with them to deliver the 5 Ways to Wellbeing and Mindfulness elements over the coming weeks. Participants Body Mass Index, blood pressure, experiences of mood and anxiety and more will be monitored to assess the effectiveness of the project.
