Sleep is such an important factor to help you function throughout the day. Your body has to do so much in day, from going to school or playing sports, you need to give it enough sleep to have the energy to do all these things. Research shows that you should be getting around 9 hours of sleep per night. Getting 9 hours of sleep allows your brain to store information, solve problems and refills your energy levels ready for the next day.

Getting less than the recommended amount of sleep can have a negative impact on your mood. If you notice that you seem to be in a bad mood in the mornings, it may be that you’re not getting enough sleep. Sleep is as important as food and drink when it comes to your mental health and wellbeing. Try getting 9 hours of sleep a night and see if it improves your mood.  You might be surprised how much it can help.
